Nick's Near 50" Muskie

September 15, 2009:  Nick is a multi-species kind of guy and noticed a fishy looking point while out chasing walleyes so he threw a few casts at it.  Isn't it great when a spot that looks good, produces a biggie!  He did not get an accurate measurement of this fish because he doesn't carry a 60 inch measuring device like the rest of us muskie nuts.  Typically, he won't even bring them in the boat, but this was a nice fish so he took a photo and laid it down for a moment to get a reference.  Nick reported estimate of 49-50 inches.  Now, we know that real muskie men will rarely give an angler credit for a 50 incher without a measurement, but this one looks big enough to be called 49-49 7/8 inches.  Great fish, Nick.
