Opening Day Snow 2

May 18, 2009 - Yeah, there was snow on the ground when we woke up on walleye opener! Not just a little bit either. It took until late in the morning for it to all melt. The snow combined with 20-30 MPH all day NW winds to make it a miserable day on the lake. However, a few of the hardcore anglers made it out and caught a few. The advantage of our location is that you can get out on the lake on those high westerly wind days. Sometimes when you only have 4 days a year to fish Lake of the Woods, you need to get out and fish even when it's not that pleasant.
