2008 50" Muskies from Mylie's Place Resort

The 2008 season saw slightly fewer 50 inch class landed, but there was no shortage of big fish on Lake of the Woods seen and lost.  There were also more 47"-49.5" fish landed in 2008 than any other year I can I can remember.  The future is bright for muskie anglers that will be fishing the Woods in 2009 and beyond.  Click each photo to enlarge and see more details.

A huge summer Lake of the Woods muskie that feel for a black/silver DCG in August 2008. Randy had this fish on and lost it after a boat side strike a couple of weeks earlier while fishing the same complex. Sometimes you do get a second chance!
